About USA Lacrosse

Visit USA Lacrosse

USA Lacrosse became the new name of our organization in May 2021. USA Lacrosse is proud to serve the sport by bringing the energy and excitement to our efforts that the players, coaches and officials bring every time they step on the field.

We collaborate with passionate experts across the sport to create opportunities for people to enjoy the sport, learn about the game, keep participants safe and ensure that everyone feels welcome.

Collaboration is something the organization was built upon. We were established in 1998 as US Lacrosse following the merger of eight national lacrosse organizations, mostly volunteer run, to help bring more resources to the sport.

USA Lacrosse acknowledges that our national headquarters was constructed on the traditional, ancestral and unceded territory of Native nations and communities. (Native Lands map)  We recognize and respect Indigenous Peoples, past and present, as the traditional stewards of this land, and we honor the enduring relationship that exists between Indigenous Peoples and their traditional territories.

Today, USA Lacrosse serves more than 400,000 members and we have invested more than $275 million into the sport’s development since our inception. We’re ready to do even more. Join us.

Starting a USA Lacrosse Program

Read Our FAQ

Interested in starting a new program? Perhaps a new league, a new team or a new USA Lacrosse chapter? We realize that this can seem like a massive undertaking.

In order to help get you started and to point you in the right direction, US Lacrosse, in partnership with the Positive Coaching Alliance, has compiled a document with information for Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs). You’ve got questions. Hopefully, we’ve got some answers.

Programs and Grants

USA Lacrosse continually evaluates and upgrades its programs and services to better serve our membership.

Many of the programs and services offered by the Sport Development Department are coordinated through local US Lacrosse Chapters.

The primary objectives of the USA Lacrosse Sport Development Department are threefold:

♦ To deliver resources to create and support positive and safe playing experiences for youth players;
♦ To drive adoption of USAL national standards and best practices; and
♦ To increase impact and effectiveness.

For questions about Sport Development Programs and Grants, please contact us by e-mail at [email protected].
